The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame (FARHOF) is dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and sharing the rich musical traditions and extraordinary artists who have shaped America's cultural heritage. Through exhibitions, live performances, educational programs, and special events, we bring the stories and legacies of Folk, Americana, and Roots music to life for audiences of all ages.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, FARHOF has welcomed visitors from all 50 states and 51 countries, celebrated legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Leonard Cohen, Muddy Waters, and Neil Young through our Induction Celebrations, and presented acclaimed exhibitions such as Music America and This Wheel's Still On Fire: The Legacy of Levon Helm. Performances by artists including I'm With Her, Jason Isbell, and Waxahatchee have further connected audiences with the enduring influence of American music.
Beyond the stage and exhibitions, FARHOF is committed to inspiring the next generation through arts education. Our Interactive Readings, Boch Backstage program, and educational STEAM tours introduce young people to music, storytelling, history, and creativity. With the support of donors, we are working to expand access by providing complimentary tours and transportation for more school and youth groups, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to experiencing the power of music.
